Pakse & the Bolevan Plateau

We took a mini van to go there (4h-50,000KIP). As an information the van will leave you in the center so no need to take any tuk-tuk to find an hotel.

Direction notre seconde destination : Pakse. Nous nous y sommes rendu en mini van (4h-50,000KIP). Le mini van s’arrête au centre ville et vous permet donc d’économiser un trajet en Tuk-Tuk. Il nous à suffit de marcher 10 mn afin de trouver un hôtel.

We decided to rent a scooter for a day to go around the Bolaven plateau where there is plenty of waterfalls and the/coffee plantations. We only did two of the many waterfalls which were amazing (Tat Fan and Tat Yuang). We also went to visit a tea/coffee plantation (touyva plantation), a couple owns it and produce Green tea, arabica and robusta. This was very nice as they taught us how they were making and producing them ; the quality was extraordinary.

L’attraction du coin est le plateau du Bolaven, célèbre pour ses nombreuses cascades et plantation de café et thé. Afin de visiter le coin, nous avons loués un scooter pour la journée. Nous avons pu visiter deux cascades assez impressionnantes : Tat Fan et Tat Yuang. Nous nous sommes ensuite rendus à la plantation Touyva ou nous y avons été chaleureusement accueilli par les propriétaires. La visites fut très enrichissante intellectuellement et gustativement parlant.

After this we decided to go visit a local tribe. We met very very nice people. They produce a lot of handmade goods as scarfs, blankets, small guitars etc.

En fin d’après-midi, nous avons visités le village d’une petite tribu local. Les personnes que nous avons rencontrées furent vraiment gentilles et attachants. La plupart des femmes produisent toute sortes de d’objets artisanaux tel que des foulards, couvertures, éventails et même des guitares ;)
